I went to a conference today. This guy was making some great points about scrum being bad, but than he said “you can earn a bigger salary by doing more than you’re currenty worth” and they lost me completely.

Last occurrence today. In total surprise to nobody but the manager who is in charge of planning, the project is late by several months. After our umptienth task force, which produced nothing but 3 sets of minutes of meetings and 2 KPI reports a day, manager asked us to stay until 10:00 PM and come at 6:00 AM. Besides the fact this is illegal here (11 hours breaks are mandatory between 2 days of work), we get nothing. Answer: no. Absolute shock of the manager, who is now planning our next task force. Maybe more reporting will fix it.

    Don’t forget the opposite.

    Do your job please.

But that’s not how I taught myself to do it!

    Points to SOP.

Sorry I’ve never done it the correct way so I no longer consider it my job and I know the job better than you despite you doing the same thing for years…

…God I hope fuck up seriously enough that HR can actually fire you.
