I understand. Many ppl come to lemmy during serious personal struggle/pain and write surprisingly offensive comments under posts under disguise of moderation. Imo such overmoderation makes slow communities die out completely. As a poster, I know how it feels like to share a bit of entertainment and receive personal insults in turn. It sucks. However, those comments are absolute minority from people in distress, while the wider audience is genuinely enjoying the posts
