the government just confirmed aliens are real another hack job with government connections is claiming that he was told by government official that alien “biologics” and space craft were recovered by the government without being able to provide evidence or details because it is “classified”

    What a nothingburger

he didn’t even say alien. “alien biologics” while meaningless, was a stronger assertion than he was willing to make. he said “non-human biologics”, which could mean anything from aliens to there was some grass there. he just left it vague and then people like OP who want the truth but also know exactly what they want the truth to be filled in the details using the twin powers of guessing and lying.

Except his documents were all routed through the Intel Community Inspector General who sent them to congress calling them “urgent and credible.”

And his lawyers are former Inspector Generals.

You say this just because he didnt post things to wikileaks and defect to russia.

The mans trying to make sure he doesnt go to prison.

Because the informations are hearsays from one man that may or may not be credible.

So that says nothing about the information itself but rather just goes on about credentials and employment, with a tidbit about not leaking classified information. It does not provide any justification as to why this person’s claims should be believed rather than just “he worked there”.

It does, the IG that reviewed his case found it to be “urgent and credible” enough to be forwarded to congress.

Again, the man can’t & shouldnt, go full snowden where he just dumps his load and defects to Russia, forsaking his or his family’s future.

So that leaves us in the position of, hey, this guy has a record of credibility and others whove reviewed what he has say its credible and urgent.

It is up to congress to investigate and then declassify.

The information doesn’t have to be evidence of aliens existing to be “urgent and credible”, the statement says “The ICIG found Mr. Grusch’s assertion that information was inappropriately concealed from Congress to be urgent and credible in response to the filed disclosure.” which could mean it can just be about the organizational structure of the agencies, for example.

And I wasn’t going to mention it but this is the second time you bring up Snowden, who neither “[dumped] his load” nor “defected to Russia”. He released information to journalists that the US government was illegally spying on its own citizens as well as its allies in a much broader way than anyone outside imagined. He was then stuck at an airport in Russia because the US government revoked his passport during a flight that landed there. He has repeatedly asked for a fair, public trial instead of being put in a dark box at Guantanamo and received no agreement of that from the US government so he’s stayed in one of the only places where he won’t be extradited to a country that intends to make him disappear. Since then, he’s criticized authoritarianism and governmental overreach while living in one of the most brutal dictatorships on earth, which takes more balls than either of us have.

Thanks for the link. I was more interested in the original article here that focused on what exactly was revealed.

I’m skeptical with the fact that non-human made artifacts and entire crafts were recovered, especially since no one except extremely secret organizations currently have these materials.

The fact that a well respected member of the intelligence community backed by other well respected members has come out with these statements does raise eyebrows.

With all that said, the debrief does seem like a credible source of information, and I’m curious to see what this evolves into if other active members of the intelligence community continue to whistleblow on alleged illegal activity.

The US Government did not say aliens exist. A former military officer said “nonhuman” biological material was in one of the craft they downed. That could mean someone put a monkey or a dog in a test vehicle, it could mean a bird flew into the thing.

Even if he was saying it’s aliens, testifying to congress is not the same thing as the government itself claiming aliens exist. They are reporting to the government, not making statements on behalf of the government.

I mean, setting aside the lack of actual evidence so far, what effect will it have on most of us? Is the world suddenly going to become a utopia because aliens have been here? At best we get some cool technology that governments and the rich will hoard; at worst we get conscripted to go kill them and take their shit, or are forced to defend ourselves from them trying to take our shit. I’ve never really understood why aliens imply anything other than that. The truth is, if they do have something truly transcendent to teach us, we ain’t ready for it. If we want to find the secrets of the universe we need to put our own house in order and do it ourselves. Aliens aren’t our space saviors.

Why does everything need to have personal gain to matter at all. I get the whole “no actual evidence” part. But if we actually see aliens and you’re not impressed, I don’t think we can be friends. Don’t blame capitalism, you’re just lame. Sure, there are real problems, but people throughout history have had it far worse and still managed to care about things outside of their own tiny microcosm. Many people enjoy these things not in spite of but because of their personal struggles, as they can act as an escape for a short time. If you’re going to have economic troubles anyway, why spend all your time dwelling in it?

I don’t think that person is talking about their personal thoughts, but more mankind as a whole.

As we operate now we would not have to tools to add anything meaningful to a galactic conversation.

We could all personally think it’s awesome, but as a people we are simply unequipped to deal with the consequences of meeting an extraterrestrial race.

People are sort of great individually, but collectively we’re horrific. We’d be trying to kill, enslave, or exploit any new species we came across. It’s what we do with new species. Hell it’s what we do to each other.

True, it would be amazing. I’m just ambivalent about the long-term impact. Like, would much really change ultimately? I guess we’ve never experienced another species we could directly communicate ideas with. Maybe it would be more revolutionary than I can imagine.

The fact that they haven’t made contact with the entire globe in a way that is undisputable etc is proof that they are mostly apathetic.

This is why they mostly stick to military bases with nukes. Even their offensive technology is apathetic. Disrupting our electronics etc. They clearly don’t care.

With that said should we really call them aliens? Chances are they have been here longer than the entire history of the hominid line.

Big difference between some dudes testimony and hard irrifutable evidence. A few officials can say whatever they like. Until you get hard XCOM level evidence in front of a public hearing the government won’t confirmed shit.

The real reason ayylmaos will never be confirmed until the hand is forced is that a huge majority of the global population ascribe to a religion absolutely incompatable with the existence of extraterrestrial life. Sentient non-human highly technological extraterrestrial life at that.

The moment it is confirmed there will 100% be mass panics by religious fundamentalist that space is inhabited by demons or whatever rationalization they pick to ensure their beliefs are still unquestioningly correct and the god given truth of 2000 year old scripture is maintained. In some areas like the USA bible belt or the middle east this will be devistating and cause actual long lasting damage to global society at large. Its a bottle of lightning all the space age nations of the world have deemed not worth opening for societal and economic stability. If these people really have the goods to back up their talk, they will be epstiened unless they take the upmost caution.

Meh… I would bet most Christians ascribe to the same sort of philosophy that my pastor did back when I was in high school. He always said, “I don’t know if there are aliens out there, but if there are they need Jesus too.”

It’s a bit silly, but he was also a creationist. If he could be fine with aliens but not evolution, I imagine the same is true for most other religious people.

I don’t understand why people think religious people will go bananas if aliens are confirmed. There will be unrest at the beginning, sure, and probably more than one dangerous alien based cult will rise. But most of the religious leaders will just adjust their narratives and try to retain as many followers as possible. And most followers will be eager to take explanations and not challenge their core beliefs. If I remember correctly, the Catholic church said they are not opposed to the idea of intelligent life and civilizations outside earth, so it seems like they are somehow prepared.

I think most religious leaders are smart enough not to rush to the “aliens are demons” conclusion, specially if they are proven not to be hostile (I assume they are not if the government are dealing with them).

Why stop at religious people? Most people probably wouldn’t be able to go back to their lives after discovering there’s a whole new dimension of things out there and there’s a possibility to travel and see very weird things.

So far we’ve sort of come to terms that we’re alone in the universe and the great void is unexplorable. But what if it isn’t? Wouldn’t everyone just want to go out and do some Firefly-grade shit? How would one just go back to performing risk assessments for insurance companies after learning that?

I said ‘Fundimentalist’ as in people taught to legitimately believe everything in the bible/scripture is to be taken literally and everything that is evidence against the stories being true is actually lies and deceptions of the devils doing. Perhaps fundamentalist is technically the wrong word for them but thats whst comes to my mind.

I have spoken to enough Christians to know that there exist both rational people willing to accept their scripture may have some symbolic metaphor and I’ve spoken to batshit insane zelots who warp their subjective reality to match whatever they are told to believe and reject all evidence otherwise. I’ve encountered the latter more often than you might like to think. Even if they are not the majority there is enough of them to do serious damage. I would be interested to see some statistical numbers based on polls if you have the sauce on that.

There are many angry, hate filled, unquestioning people who use religion as a means to an end. Im not just talking about any one religion either, its not about that. A mixture of poverty, mental illness, cognitive dissonance, and cult like brainwashing tactics will get you the kind of person willing to burn everything to the ground. They want nothing more than to kill everyone and everything that doesnt agree with them in the name of god. If you know where to look you will whole communities of them. They exist.

The US government has near zero credibility. I dgaf what they say wrt aliens.

It may just be a distraction but could be a psyop by the cia for some convoluted reason.

They do seem to be earnestly playing the alien card right now and aren’t letting it up.

That tells me that there will be escalation on this with some end goal in mind. And it will likely be another pain in the ass like their last one.
