An incident involving an unmanned maritime boat occurred in the port area of Constanta (Romania).

According to Romanian services, the object was discovered around 5:50 am, and its controlled detonation took place at around 10:30 am.

Later, the Ukrainian Naval Forces officially confirmed the incident. The statement noted that while carrying out tasks in the Black Sea operational zone, one of the Ukrainian Navy’s maritime drones lost control due to Russian electronic warfare and was carried to the Romanian coast.

The Ukrainian side promptly provided the necessary information to the Romanian naval forces to prevent threats to the civilian population.

I wonder how this works… Apparently there’s a code you can give the drone, but it requires you to approach close by to it?

I wonder how complex the system is. It would make sense for the code to be specific to each drone. Something like, send signal to get the drone’s ID, ask ZSU to generate the self-destruct code for that drone unit, transmit received code. Or maybe it’s something whole different.
