According to Wikipedia, Tove Jansson was a Swedish speaking Finn, and it was published originally in Finland, albeit in Swedish.
I always heard it referred to as Finnish until now.
I find it funny that Moomintroll doesn’t normally wear clothes, but dons a bathing suit to go swimming.
This is the true essence of Moomin. The comics are great!
