Because men sometimes take it personally when they “can’t make you cum.” Occasionally they get mad and blame you. It’s safer to just hide it and figure it out later if necessary.

If someone spends the time to fake an orgasm to make me feel good then they are pretty cool.
Sure, sounds good in the short term. Probably better in the long term to be honest and figure out something that lets everyone to have an orgasm though.
And lets people give orgasms. Someone who fakes an orgasm robs their partner of the opportunity to give orgasms.

This assumes that the person faking it expects continued interaction and/or safety. Women often fake it with flings when they simply want things to finish and don’t want to have an awkward conversation with the person they never intend to see again. They also fake it to avoid confrontation due to perceived emasculation.
