    I was thinking they should have included at aleast one third world city in their but turns out the population density of Kolkata, India is only 1.17x of Paris, France though the absolute population is twice as big. Didn’t know Paris was this packed.

    That’s really neat, and shows how much sparsely populated most of the world is. I remember in the introduction to the book open veins of latin america, galeano talks about how much of a travesty it is that latin america is so underdeveloped and sparsely populated, having spent most of the 1500s onward growing monocrops for europe.
