Yeah I am a bit biased and chose the Anthony Rapp/Michelle Hurd photo first but look at this!

I’m sure there are tons more but I’m grabbing them from this Rolling Stone article. Turns out Rapp is even a member on the negotiating committee.

You just gotta love seeing Trek actors sharing the same strength as their characters. Makes me feel all tingly. I hope this strike ends soon and not so we get more Trek sooner but so these amazing people get what they are rightfully owed.

Hell yeah. We’ll reach our Federation, one step at a time.

Let’s just hope this doesn’t roll right into the Bell Riots

I thought the writer’s strike had been resolved, but the actors were still being shafted. Have writers gone back to striking in solidarity?

If it’s only SAG-AFTRA then I think it’s just actors.

The downside is that you can’t read the URL.

Also, every instance assigns its own unique number to every post and comment, so you can’t easily move from one instance to another (unless someone from the target instance has commented, then you can use their federated link). We really should have the number defined by the host instance, then every other instance could be /post/number@host_instance.

it is generally possible to find the post on another instance through the search, at least through the default web interface. there is certainly a lot of room for improvement though.

I think you’re confused, this is about the Screen Actors Guild which is a completely separate union from the Writers Guild of America. Both guilds went on strike but only the WGA has agreed to a deal with the AMPTP so far.

Netflix washed their hands of it after the first season.

Really the correct takeaway from this is that bad writers are bad at writing good Star Trek, good writers are bad at writing bad Star Trek

No idea I’ve never found a legal way to watch it. Anyway it’s aimed at kids isn’t it weird target audience but there you go.

We’re talking exclusively about Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds being good. No idea about the other stuff.

Although apparently Picard picks up so I might try watching it again

But what about horrific violence and gore? Clearly that’s what has been missing from Star Trek all these years.
