Fun fact: US has so weak food counterfeit laws and enforcement it has become the dumping ground for low quality oil or even mixed, making it an allergy hazard. If you haven’t gone out of your way to ensure you are getting the real deal, and paid a premium for it, you probably have never tasted genuine extra virgin olive oil. https://www.mashed.com/281801/the-real-reason-your-olive-oil-is-probably-fake/

Fuckin hell, one time I mentioned on Reddit how truffle oil is great for stopping noodles sticking together while you prep and christ on a bike I got bombarded by a bunch of yanks telling me “It’s not reeeeaaaalll truffles brooooo”

Bitch I live in Europe, it’s real truffle

Even posted a pic of the label with ingredients, got told it was fake

      Fuckin sad, really

The ingredient list doesn’t mean it’s not faked. It’s not like they tell you on the tin that it’s a fake product. The fakery happens somewhere down the supply line.

Not saying you didn’t have real truffle oil but the ingredients list just means it’s supposed to be real
