Thank you so much! I have never needed to look into small and underground indie bands, so I had no idea how to find them even here. Just finding Club All of Rock and LIVE&LOUD Music Company immediately yielded interesting results.
Thank you for commenting. I had forgotten I wrote this post, but I still occasionally try to see if there are any new breakthrough artists and I don’t think I have come across neither of those.
The one band I knew was Cherry Filter, which seems to have been quite successful, but sadly there hasn’t been more in that vein.
So… It’s historically accurate? The “heart” symbol doesn’t really look like an actual heart and may have been modelled after a bum or a scrotum. Or the seed of a plant used as a contraceptive.
It’s impossible to pronounce like it is written, so people just say “abloi” and even the b may tense up to p since the former isn’t a part of finnish and comes up only in loan words.
I like using Firefox, but it’s a bit ironic to have google analytics tracking on the page you declare to protect the users privacy.
3·6 months agoEsimerkiksi Skepsikselle muutama vuosi sitten luennoinut VTT:n Reaktoriturvallisuuden tutkimusprofessori Jaakko Leppänen kyllä tukee näkemystäsi mikä Tšernobylissä meni pieleen.
Totta, paljon katumusta myös näitä äänestäneissä riveissä. Ei nämä toimet täysin yllätyksenä ole voineet tulla, mutta se miten syvälle ollaan heikompia polkemassa ylitti odotukset.
Enemmistö, joka ei valinnut tätä hallitusta näyttää mielipiteensä. Toivottavasti tästä nyt kerrankin jäisi riittävä muistijälki seuraaviin vaaleihinkin asti.
61·6 months agoCool idea, but shipping anything to orbit is insanely expensive and those are almost impossible to aim accurately. At least with the current technology.
With the current price of, well, everything, how people afford to buy anything perishable they are not sure to eat within few days and just keep throwing them away?
Compared to France the only difference seemed to be China, but the source data is quite difficult to compare.
While they are quite prominent the mentioned brands are not actual monopolies and you do see quite often locks, elevators and faucets from other manufacturers.
Abloy doesn’t play by the language rules because it is originally short for AB Lukko OY ([LTD in swedish] Lock [LTD in finnish]).
I have never had any problems with Abloy locks. The previous lock on my current building started jamming when people pulled the heavy front door open with one hand by the key, but it was made by some german company. The current locks on the outside doors are electronic so you can not pull it with the key, but can open with one hand by pulling the handle after showing the key. Aparment locks are still mechanic. The new locks neither are from Abloy.

Tässä on paljon samaa kuin alkoholin käytön häpeämisessä. Yritetään painostaa jos joku kieltäytyy ilman “hyväksyttävää” syytä kuten raskaus tai lääkitys, autolla kulkemistakaan ei pidetä riittävänä vaan aletaan ehdotella että voit sä yhden ottaa tai hae se auto huomenna.
2·7 months agoBecause that is all they got. Even if they make some profit on the sale of the hardware, it is peanuts compared to the game and tie-in sales. Losing control of even a single IP would be a serious hit to them.
Valve has been quite supportive of fan projects like Black Mesa and Delta Particles and only demanding to remove Half-Life from the name to protect their trademark. But I guess they don’t want to risk involving Nintendo.
3·7 months agoAnything cyberpunk usually fits that bill. Like Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix sounds and is ridiculous in many ways, but also has some insights on the rich taking over the media and prison system.
