When one is the subject of love bombing it is really hard to “feel” the downsides of it

It’s very easy to go down the path of logic and keep telling myself typical rational mantras, but this doesn’t exactly help on the emotional level

We all seek love and, however unhelpful, love bombing does provide it. Which puts me in a weird conundrum – why shouldn’t I accept love when I clearly need it

Do you have any tips or stories how you’ve let go of love bombing addiction?

Yeah, on the logical level I totally get that it is harmful but emotionally it’s very hard to resist it in the moment. I’m looking for ways to make this resisting easier, i.e. retrain my mind to perceive it to be not so overwhelmingly positive

I know a very simple exercise that may be able to help you:

      • Make a list of all the good things that love bombing brings to you
      • Make another list of all the bad things that love bombing brings to you

Whenever you’re unsure as to which way is healthier… Look at the lists you’ve made, and especially, how long the second one is
