I always have fantasized about getting a group of cool people, buying an island, establishing it in the world economy and starting a new world without the prejudice, discrimination, and microplastics. 😅

what i’m longing for the most is that green, uncut grass grows again near the roadside. everywhere today the air is stinky and full of dust. if there were plants, they would remove the dust from the air (because they evaporate water and that “washes” the air clean) and the air would be breathable and healthy again.
I don’t know why so many people on Lemmy seem to think that when capitalism dies a fully formed socialist utopia will magically spring up in its place. The way we’re headed when capitalism dies the people with all the guns will be in charge, and that’s mostly the same people who already are. The end of the American republic probably won’t be the end of the American empire.

Look the problem with israel is that there were people living there originally.
