Girl you want to be a war widow?
Is this a way I can get a house?
Does a 98 Toyota corrola count as a house?
That’s 4 years newer than the Cherokee I drive! Haha. The alternator is new though… Well newly refurbished, it died last week.
Oh, well that is more of a house. I miss my old XJ. Thing was a tank. I don’t miss getting 8mpg though.
I’ve gotten lucky with it, I’m getting about 18mpg with the straight 6.
Although I need to recharge the AC… and the liquid is illegal to buy now. Apparently I have to get it converted by a professional or something? Still looking into that. Have till summer I suppose
Did they finally ban canned refrigerant in the US?
AC needs to be fixed, not recharged, that’s how we fixed the ozone layer.
Yeah R12 they banned from new vehicles after 94’. Being that my jeep is a 94, it was likely built in 1993. All the cars use 134a or whatever I believe now, but I could be wrong. Maybe there’s something new I haven’t seen yet
Mine was built as a crawler so commuting 50 miles when gas was >$4/gal sucked. And off road or crawling it was <4mpg. But so much fun. I kept it always entirely covered in mud. If it rained and washed off that just meant there were new mud pits to go cover it again. Had water over the hood with no snorkel plenty. And omg I love that straight 6, honestlyy favorite engine. Easiest thing to work on. Now I do Subaru boxers where pretty much anything just means pull the engine. And transverse i4s that are just like… I wish this engine was pointed the right way.
You can usually get a pretty good deal on the r12 to r134 conversion is you ask around, lots of shadetree guys around that just need to he asked. But its also not impossible to get r12. But you do need to know who. If it isn’t working anyways then slowly doing the r134 conversion yourself can be pretty easy. Start now while its still cold and you could do it yourself by the time you need it.
Thanks for the advice. How about do I approach the conversion. I assume you have to suck all of the r12 out if there is still residual, and then get an adapter that fits the input? Then check the seal? I know the connections didn’t match the ones for the r134.
Trying to explain to my 14 kids from three different fathers and the accumulated 217 grandkids that back in the 1950s we definitely were not fucking casually.
Ahh professional, competitive and ranked fucking.
Is that a wheel of camembert? Maybe I will…
My guess is brie, but I’m not sure due to all the jpg.
Brie is much larger :
(imagine a small banana next to it)
I regularly buy brie that is a shorter diameter than an average banana and it comes in the round cardboard packaging.
Well, if you’re buying industrial Lactalis cheese, then anything goes.
I have seen smaller wheels of brie as well
