Devils panties 02/03/2025

One of my pet peeves is places don’t want to send me physical mail which would be fine if they would email me a pdf for electronic delivery but no. Their electronic delivery is an email that says come to our site and login and download it. Its like if the physical mail was a post card saying to drive to the office and ask for a printout.

In defense of Jennie, it is valuable to have physical access to multiple documents at once. Even with a three monitor setup, I find having physical paper is helpful when dealing with multiple documents I have to read together to synthesize a new document.

Given the sensitive nature of certain information and the presence of matter recyclers, extra PADDs lying about seems to be an unintended consequence.

Also, Sisko looks like he’s taking part in an infomercial.

If iPads were free you’d probably have a few lying around.

I count five paper notepads on my kitchen counter.

I’ve mentioned this in the past, but my little head canon is that many of these PADDs are one-time use read-only devices meant to not send, receive or modify the data in any way, and to eventually be matter-recycled.
