The decision by western nations to provide limited military assistance to Ukraine was purposefully done to create the right stressors for drone technologies to be created or improved upon while also providing a live testing environment for domestic weapon systems.

…but more likely the socio-economic environments of Ukraine’s allies necessitated such action/inaction which just so happened to create this environment which weapons producers capitalized on.
