Summary
Luigi Mangione, accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan, is fighting extradition from Pennsylvania to New York.

Not guilty by way of self defense?
This is the corporation that administers the PA DOCs inmate commissary (don’t get me started on everything that is philosophically wrong with that sentence; I have a manifesto of my own to write). Mr. Mangione’s inmate ID# is QQ7787. The system requests an email address and will likely collect credit card information. I’ll try to see later this week if it will accept a burner email and a visa gift card purchased with cash, but my hopes are not high. I will tell you as someone vaguely familiar with the correctional system that in many places conditions are basically unlivable without commissary (again, don’t get me started). I also don’t know how much they will punitively restrict his access regardless of funds due to the political nature of his alleged crime. If they don’t allow privacy for those providing funds I will have to weigh how much I value my own privacy in this current political climate against my continued soft spot for those exposed to the correctional system.
The Privacy app might help in this regard. It allows you to set up temporary credit cards to avoid reoccurring charges and the like.

But what about the “depose” part?

The initial pictures of the suspect from CCTV cameras doesn’t match a single picture of Luigi taken after being arrested. Different nose. Different brow line. Different eyebrows. Different eyes… So no, I don’t think he did it either. Dude’s being set up as a patsy.

I said something about it somewhere else… while I try not to get my hopes up about things, is there possibility of an imposter thats been thoroughly looked into? Many past high profile crimes have had people eager to turn themselves in for it. This is pretty high profile.
It does seem like they just found a bunch of pics of random guys with a hood and jacket along with some with a mask added to make them all seem linked.
