I love genuine questions and people putting in the effort to love and understand each other better. If you come at me just wanting to argue I’m going to troll you back. FAFO.

  • Oh yeah when I was young and had an active untreated personality disorder men loved it. It’s like they want to be tortured. Tbf I also pass on a lot dumber bullshit more now that I’ve gotten treatment and chilled out a little. And I found a dude who’s in almost the same exact boat with bipolar 1 to be stably unstable with. So the idiots really don’t get a lot of chances with me anyway.

  • Hi so I’m genuinely an inpatient psychiatric nurse.

OP is maaaybe describing a hallucination, but they’re not reporting paranoia, their language choice doesn’t exhibit disorganization, and they’re not arguing any observable fact, they’re just speculating on a spiritual / metaphyiscal interpretation of the world. Hallucinations themselves even have a wide variety of interpretations outside of the western world that are not pathalogical in nature, and often people in those cultures with similar neuroatypicalities live much longer happier lives compared to those in western society. And even if we do classify it as a hallucination, that doesn’t even mean schizophrenia. They can be singularly spontaneous and never occur again, they can be drug induced whether as part of individual’s healthy or unhealthy use, or in many cases as part of a cultural or spiritual ritual.

Please stop spreading misinformation in my sub about BOTH mental illness AND spirituality or I’m gonna ban you. Or you can feel free to use the block button to block things you don’t personally want to see. That’s what it’s for.

  • Well that kind of post / question is very much welcome here. My ideal for this space is a combination between genuine exploration of nontraditional (or traditionally heretical) spiritual beliefs and gentle ribbing of traditional / canonical and mainstream religions, particularly the Catholics and other militantly trinitarian or puritanical Christian offshoots. But genuinely exploring a geometric hallucination (or “vision” even), is VERY welcome here.

  • call me whatever you want I genuinely don’t care. you can call me he she they or it I genuinely don’t care. the funniest thing a patient called me is a reference to one of my many obvious physical deformities. if you care what I’m called that’s very genuinely a you problem. and honestly the more it bothers people to not know what to call me the funnier it gets.

  • fwiw my understanding was “if people are willing to go black/grey market for it, it must be lucrative and/or a thing people greatly need!” and my answer to THAT question is:

it is very lucrative for the clinic. You’ll get some pocket change, similar to the cut a hooker gets from her pimp.

Now, they are doing something of an important service to you and the client in terms of keeping you out of child support but also out of the child’s life without the consent of the parents (until 16-18, as you said). They’re also attending to some sexual health and genetic concerns. But they’re almost definitely not providing enough benefit to justify their cut. Fertility medicine is verery lucrative business as I understand.

  • I’m an RN I have basically 0 control over what gets prescribed. last time I called like 3 times begging for opiates for a legit medical problem I got a 1 time dose not even a scheduled or prn. there’s next to literally nothing I can do, no. But even nurses who have worked other specialties have told me they basically go off the poss score as in, if you’re asking and alert and still able to breathe fast enough and it’s within time parameters you get more and if you can’t or they can’t give more you don’t get more. Rating it in number alone is basically just useless.

  • God numbers are so fucking useless. Especially in psychiatry. The doctor’s not gonna order opiates, they’re just not. It’s for like 30 dumb reasons that mostly boil down to addiction and 20 less dumb reasons that all boil down to “you’re in the wrong place to treat whatever’s causing that.”

So I’ve got Tylenol and Motrin and unless you’ve got stomach bullshit or have a personal preference I’m gonna lead with the Motrin because it’s stronger. So I’m gonna put in the number for whatever the order says that med is supposed to be given for and give it. The Motrin says your pain needs to be a 6 so your pain is gonna be at least a 6. The number is so irrelevant to what’s actually going to happen that tbh it’s kinda in the way.

And in the rare event that I do have an opiate available, your POSS score is way more relevant anyway.

  • Was watching Fionna and Cake and really getting the feels from Simon Petrikov. Like what if I did just like. Go be mentally ill again. Being a normie with a job isn’t working out great. You know what was great? Hot shower / cold beer. Gonna try therapy one more time but like. Ugh. Please do not bother me with platitudes unless you’ve got $100 to send me monthly to put towards my rent.
