Solus is a stable rolling distro, making it somewhat special in the world of Linux. A new ISO just dropped.

Wow I completely forgot about this distro. Might check it out. I remember liking it a lot but back when flatpaks were just becoming a thing. My main issue was no packages made for solus

There’s been a few times I built from source but flatpak has been quite the blessing. Solus is also looking for more software maintainers, so if there’s something not in their software center now that you want, it could be a good opportunity to get involved.

True. I’ve always wanted to contribute to an open source project in some way. I’ma try it out again and if I stick with it I just might put my foot into contributing.

Still no Wayland support for Budgie. That is really the only reason I used Solus in the past. As a rolling distro Arch is still king.

Budgie 11 should be coming out soon and is supposed to be full Wayland. Arch is nice if you can stay up on your updates and can tinker if things don’t work right.
