Is there really any flattering angles for the male body though? Also, who wants to take pics of dudes trying to look sexy? Their male friends won’t. I know we have literal works of art showing nude male bodies, but the majority of men’s bodies are shit to look at and nobody wants to look at them. Women don’t even have to have ideal bodies and men will still be elated that they sent them nudes. Meanwhile, people would be more likely to pay me to not send them nudes, at best, but more likely they’d press charges.

Hard disagree. I think you’re probably just not attracted to dudes.

You don’t need to be attracted to men to recognize them as not ugly. Plenty of straight women appreciate their form without attraction.

That being said, men often don’t take care of themselves so yeah a lot of them don’t try very much.

I appreciate my form (sometimes) and I’m a guy. The roman’s did a lot of sexy guy bodies, I’d say the roman dudes bodies are sexier on average than the woman’s bodies.

I think any gender stuff like this naturally creates a lot of discomfort for people since attraction/sexuality is so base. If you really believe that a woman’s body is objectively more beautiful then I think that’d represent a gap in your logic. We’re just shapes.

Go to a gay bar. Not even joking. Gay men are the single best thing for any man’s confidence. And sense of male self-worth.

You don’t have to be gay to uplift and compliment the other men you interact with. That’s just a side effect of toxic masculinity. Men can compliment each other, uplift each other, and say “Hey man, you’re looking good today. You make that shirt look good!” without being gay. Not that I disagree with anything you said, just you’re comment got me thinking about the weird effects of the patriarchy on men supporting other men.

I agree, we shouldn’t have to go to a gay bar.

And just to be clear, it’s not just a question of men supporting men. Women don’t complement men either. No one does…except gay men.

Fair point, but I wouldn’t blame women for not complimenting men. That’s still toxic men that make doing so dangerous for them.

Come on man, take a step back and listen to yourself. Women can do no wrong, and even if they do, it’s men’s fault? I know this is a common narrative in society, but just think about it for a minute. It’s crazy, it makes no sense.

ok to be clear here, i think the point was that gay men compliment men like women compliment each other.

Should men compliment eachother in a gayer fashion? Maybe. Does this change anything here? Probably not.

Patriarchy didn’t teach men that they’re disgusting, wtf

That’s like the opposite of the patriarchy

This is the shit feminists do that piss me off. Literally anything bad? Patriarchy. Literally anything good? Feminism. Even if it makes no goddamn sense.

Bullshit. That’s one tiny aspect of it - men unable to support other men. The vast majority of the problem of men seeing themselves as disgusting is feminsm. “All men are potential rapists” is a disgusting and extremely prevalent ideology. All men are trash, all men are pigs, you see women say these things all the time and it’s just accepted.

Cute, you’ve got this idea in your head of who I am. Could I possibly be a reasonable person with a valid point? No. I must be an Andrew Tate - huffing knuckle-dragging woman-beating mongoloid. That’s the only type of person who could ever possibly have an issue with feminism.

? It’s a definition. It’s almost the exact definition on Wikipedia.

“Patriarchal ideology acts to explain and justify patriarchy by attributing gender inequality to inherent natural differences between men and women, divine commandment, or other fixed structures.”

Ya know, like male gender norms being enforced through a structural functionalist approach and the discrediting of supposedly feminine traits v such as beauty.

If you’re operating under a fundamental different definition of patriarchy than what everyone else means when you’re talking about it, obviously there won’t be agreements.

As a licensed, dues paying gay, I quite like the male form. Even body types I’m not particularly attracted to can be very appealing, and I’ve rarely regretted getting a dick pic or body shot. The only nudes I’m not really fond of getting on Grindr are close up booty hole pics. Sometimes they can be hot, but mostly they’re not done well

For the simple fact that humans have successfully reproduced I must assume women find men attractive, however since I am not a woman this is but an assumption, perhaps they are all psychopaths, cynically mating for the simple necessity of reproduction, I certainly know plenty of men who would agree with that statement however I find it far more plausible that in some form or another men must be viewed as attractive to the opposite sex.

You don’t need to have a perfect body; lighting, indicating soft power through angles, and imagination are your friends. A lot of the best male nudes are the ones where the dick isn’t the focus(or even shown at all).

yes, you just need an attraction to men first.

also, phones have a timer setting for a reason.

Or you can just take a video, and then pull out a frame if you really want to try hard.

Also also, there are literally people who you can pay for this shit.

Also also also, nude modelling for painting is a thing.
