I still have an account so I can see replies and such. Elon made SMS codes part of Twitter Blue, but authentication apps and security keys are free. It might be one of the only somewhat sensible things he’s done with the site, seeing as it’s pretty expensive to send out codes over SMS.
I still don’t get why you would want to pay for xitter.
Even for free I’m unconvinced of the value of using it on purpose.

Yubikeys are like the same price as Twitter premium annually.
And a lot better from a security standpoint. Hell, get a Bitwarden subscription.
