The platform seemed to realize the rule “sex sells”. However, it appears that even though this decision was “suspended”, it enraged many content creators who are now considering alternative platforms.
And for a good reason since people’s livelyhoods were on the line.
They know they will lose a bunch of money. Honestly their creators should punish them by not using them (edit) fans.ly (edit) is gonna take off anyway
Too bad there isn’t a self-hostable version of OnlyFans.
I am not sure that that is actually desirable. There are other functions that require actual business connections. Most notably, they need payments hooked up and a way of verifying age.
Does OnlyFans verify age other than a pop up window saying “Are you 18 or older? Yes or No.”
No idea for performers.
But how are the investors miraculously appeased all of a sudden? Can’t believe the problem disappeared just like that. I wonder what the true reason behind this stunt was.
/edit: Here’s what their official tweet @OnlyFans says: "Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard.
We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change.
OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators."
If OnlyFans stands for inclusion, what does Fansly stand for?
