Japan’s public school year is relentless. I think I’ve read it’s 240 school days per year.

Imagine if teacher’s in America got a 1 week summer vacation like they do every other season.

    We’d have 0 teachers.

Would they get paid better? Because we might have more teachers.

Lots of teachers have to take summer temp jobs to make up for how little they’re paid.

I work in the tech industry and we hire a lot of teachers.

The new hires came in at a entry level, and were already getting paid significantly more than an experienced teacher. Also minus the challenges with kids, dealing with shitty parents, the constant back and forth with school leads.
