Eminem is getting ready to drop his first album in four years, with the first details about the LP recently being divulged.

On Tuesday night (March 19), Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg were guests on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, on the heels of Dr. receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier in the day. During the chat, the trio was asked about the possibility of Shady putting out new music.

“Let me explain something,” Dre said. “Eminem is working on his own album, which is coming out this year. I actually talked to him and he said it was OK to make that announcement here on this show.”

“He has an album coming out. I’ve got songs on it. It’s fire,” Dre added. “I’m actually going to hear the album for the first time tomorrow. He holds his music close to his chest. I haven’t heard anything. I haven’t even heard everything complete that I’ve done. But I’m going to hear it and he’s putting out an album this year.”

Haha I was quoting a lyric from Business. Dre and Em wont leave rap until they grow beards, get weird and disappear into the mountains.

Eminem is such a weird case for Hip-Hop. Can he rap? Yes. Well? Yes. Does he? No! He’s fucking terrible!

I’m not one of those people that thinks that Hip-Hop is a black thing and white people are guests, but I’m protective of Hip-Hop. So where we get stories of Eminem gatekeeping and making people write raps in locked rooms, I can see why and how he wrote the black bitch track and why he thinks it’s okay to say the n-word. I say that to say this, Eminem doesn’t seem to respect Hip-Hop. He respects his ego and that’s a different thing.

It’s hard for Eminem. He found his lane, which was immature drug raps and in trying to evolve, he strayed further and further away from what made him good.

Nowadays we get Eminem who has nothing interesting to say. Who gets upset when people do the same things he continues to do and the same boring flows. If Eminem wasn’t a media darling and cash cow, his upcoming album wouldn’t get a mention.

What timeless music does Eminem have? Name something from the last few years in anyone’s rotation? Eminem is hype with little substance. Great technical ability, poor application.

Yikes dude. Are you serious right now? I for one don’t really rotate any old music, but damn near all of his shit can be turned on and listened too straight through. Even Infinite. This comes off as just super biased and not really even knowing his catalog. He put Stan in the dictionary for Christ sake. Even the latest on lyrical lemonade is super dope. Especially with the two videos combined.

Dunno I heavily related to maybe his first 4 albums and the first d12 album. Was sad when proof died. I also followed him before he blew so maybe I’m just bias the other way.

There’s tonnes of technical geniuses that can do 5000 kick ups, but aren’t successful footballers. If Eminem makes a good album, we’ll all be happy.
