Giant corporation is mad at other giant corporation. Meanwhile all of the serfs suffer. Anyways, how’s your unobtainable right to life?
Boo hoo for epic. Worlds smallest violin.
We now know that you can’t publically criticize Apple without your developer account getting suspended, it’s up Epic and the likes to affect change. Their interests align with customer interest so I don’t understand this performative cynicism.
Epic figured they were in control. They’re obviously not in the driver’s seat.
It’s not up to them to tell platforms how they should be run. Either play nice in the garden by the owner’s rules, or play elsewhere.
In EU we think different :)
@misk I think they’ll lose. It’s an extrajudictional act and I’m pretty sure the entities and contacts are not governed by US law.
Apple monopoly turning out far worse than anything Microsoft managed in the 1990s.
Imagine if MS had tried blocking desktop users from installing apps MS didn’t get an app store tax on.
They don’t even have a true monopoly in a way Microsoft did. Just imagine what they would do with one.
