Hello community! I’m curious about what y’all favorite long tracks are? By long I mean 10+ minutes (that is at least long to me with short attention span normally). For me it’s The Past Is A Grotesque Animal by Of Montreal (linked)

Perhaps you didn’t think of classical music per se, but this is one of my favorite pieces of music, from Mahler’s “Tragic” symphony, written during a rather good period of his life if memory serves. He also didn’t call it “tragic himself” I believe. Just a beautiful movement that stands on its own.
I have only listened to two Opeth records (Deliverance and Blackwater Park), but this song is already a standout for me. Great opener - it gets right into business with the nasty verse riff and I can’t help but make a stank face when I hear it. Lots of dissonance and different parts, but the song maintains its momentum from start to finish - no awkward transitions or unnatural mood shifts.
I haven’t listened to Deliverance yet, but i checked out Blackwater Park a few weeks ago and it was good, The Baying of the Hounds from Ghost Reveries is really good too
Mortal Man by Kendrick Lamar. The way it ties in all the songs and explains why the album is called To Pimp a Butterfly is amazing.
I’m a huge Bob Dylan fan, so “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands” and “Desolation Row” top the list for me when it comes to 10+ minute tracks. I don’t have many tracks longer than that in my collection, or at least none that immediately come to mind.
Pink Floyd - Dogs
Grateful Dead - Terrapin Station
NOFX - The Decline
TOOL - Eulogy
Phish - You Enjoy Myself
Herbie Hancock - Chameleon
Just a few off the top of my head.
