They just mean weapons should be used to strike targets in Russia, not an invasion.

I support striking Russian military targets. I don’t support a ground invasion. So if what your saying is true I agree.

I don’t support a ground invasion either, but then Russia went and invaded and here we are.

They ought to be driven back to Moscow and actually liberate some people living under a dictator.

I’d be happy with pushing the orcs a mile across their border with the threat to push them further if they don’t stop.

Ukraine is already doing that. Though in a small scale.

The issue is escalating where Russia feels the need to use nukes. That is a no win for everyone.

Yeah they won’t be using nukes regardless of how the west “escalates”. They can leave Ukraine and end this whenever they want.

I’m not so sure if that. Putin is dying or so the stories go. He may escalate to nuked at some point.

I agree, putin is looking to glorify his accomplishments as “president”. I think the moment he wants to use nukes his ersatz administration will be forced to pull the plug. Hopefully he dies as humiliatingly as all fascists deserve to die.

I’m hoping his people pull the plug. I’m actually surprised they haven’t done it yet.

The average Russian doesn’t want nuclear war anymore than anyone else.

Historically the Russians have showed constraint with nuclear weapons. I hope that continues.

I am surprised Putin is still in power.

The coup in the 90’s was very telling about the average Russian. When they didn’t agree. They didn’t do it.

I don’t think the average Russian agrees with invading Ukraine. Yet, he’s still sitting in power.

The rumor is he has cancer but recently he’s looked pretty healthy. I was hoping the rumor would ge true and this would sort itself out.

His successor will still be some flavor of authoritarian. My hope is that within the 3rd administration after putin the world will see Russians leading democracy.

That is to say, I’d like to see truly free and fair elections, rights of the people restored, ethnic Russian culture accepted and embraced, progressive social values supported, and freedom of the press protected.

This is the Russia I hope for.

Stalin was much more powerful and feared than Putin is today. Look up how Stalin died if you want an idea of what is in Putin’s head right now.

If the other option is just letting Russia run continuously unchecked across sovereign nations, then I guess we eat some nukes. However, Russia knows the first nuke they detonate means not even their liege, China, will defend them.

Hitler ordered the complete destruction of Germany before he was finished. You never know what Putin is going to do.
