some communities don’t seem to federate. when i go to them, i see their details in the sidebar, but the user count is always 0 and no posts are shown.

ah, thanks for the clarification. i’m still rather new to the concept of federation and don’t know exactly how it works; it’s nice to know everything’s working as intended.
