    This shit is contagious. It started spreading beyond US.

    Square POS terminals come with tip values already preset. And recently they became popular in Spain. Especially in touristy places, shops leave them with default values hoping to pressure people in paying more.

      My local bar (UK) has 10, 15, 20% as tip options above the big blue “PAY NOW” button with the 15% option already preselected. If you want to remove the tip you have to press a separate grey menu button which has one option “no tip :(” (yes it has a red frowning face emoji next to it)

      Then you have to back out of the menu and press pay now.

      What the fuck is wrong with the UK/Capitalism and how isn’t this illegal?
