Besides Kendrick(who feels like a weird anomaly to me, but maybe I’m wrong), who’s the biggest artist you can think of that doesn’t have a “hate movement”?
Like I swear once an artist gets the A-list, some automated system of hate bots gets deployed or some shit, and people get convinced to join in
I don’t spend a ton of time online, besides listening to music and posting here, but it has to be mostly old school guys I’d think. Like Nas and Lil Wayne. Though Wayne used to have his own little band of haters back in the day.
Of modern artists…maybe 21 Savage? I feel like I know people who don’t fuck with his music, but they acknowledge it is just personal preference.
That is just the internet though right? It is so easy for a few people to band together and get their voice amplified on here, even just a few loud haters can start a whole thing.
Nas had haters, go back before HitBoy and the Kanye album on reddit and see the disrespect. I like Nasir even if the lyrics were lacking in some parts, but the HitBoy and Magic run has solidified him in my eyes. Incredible.
