Mormon Satanist. Transracial Socialist Workers Party Kopimist Monk. Debt-free. Alcohol-free. Drug-free. Caffeine-free. Woke-free. “Dems/Repubs offer only crumbs to workers while propping up systems that oppress us. True liberation comes only when we break free and ignite the fire of revolution.”
In the main post, there’s also a Mastodon account link, so both platforms are being used. All the major socialist parties use X.com.
It’s no different than us using computers made by capitalist companies that profit more than workers. These are the tools we have right now, and we use them until something better comes along.
Also, it may be boring and old to you, but there are always newcomers joining our cause.
So, let me get this straight—any post you don’t agree with must’ve been churned out by some LLM, huh? Is that what you’re implying?!
If you’re yawning and bored, maybe it’s time to stop reading and reconsider why you’re even here. This is a community for people who discuss socialist stuff.
It’s about time they stepped up to pay their workers more, especially given their massive profits. They’re finally giving their employees a fairer share of the wealth they help create.
Other companies should follow suit—workers deserve better, and it’s long overdue that big corporations stop hoarding profits and start paying up.
cashiers aren’t allowed to sit in USA?
Not in any stores I have seen in my city.
That’s more than I make and I’m a teaching assistant at a public elementary school. Good for them though!
Local and state elections are important, but presidential campaigns can bring attention to third-party issues that are often ignored by the major parties. Building from the bottom up and the top down simultaneously strengthens the movement and shows that third parties are serious about representing the working class at every level of government.
I’m hoping that the higher profile and positive support that De la Cruz’s campaign is getting, lets them focus on other elections after this election passes.
Years of stagnant wages while Boeing racks up profits has left them no choice but to strike. The fact that over 94% of workers rejected the contract speaks volumes.
It’s time for Boeing to recognize the power of its workers.
You can’t just do nothing for four years and then show up just in time for the primaries to pretend like you’re a viable party.
I get what you are saying, but they actually do a LOT of protesting and union help. And have done that long before running for this election. Running for pres def makes them more visible, but they do lots of stuff besides that, and not just every four years.
Now I will say that I agree that they should run for other offices as well. And I hope the publicity and fire they are getting from this election lets them know that there are more and more people who support them and their causes, so that they can concentrate on running for other offices as well.
Having said that, they are not the socialist party that I’m voting for–I’m actually voting for Socialist Working Party’s Rachele Fruit (who’s even less known than De la Cruz!). But I still really like De la Cruz’s spirit and her campaign.
Most of the AI usage is corporations exploiting AI to replace workers and cut corners–everyday people barely contribute to the problem.
Instead of paying real workers or supporting industries, they pump resources into AI, driving carbon emissions through the roof.
Just one more example of how capitalism is killing us and the planet, all for the sake of squeezing out more profit while leaving destruction in its wake.
Exactly! I was just saying the same thing in another post!
Of course they are! Just another weapon in the capitalist arsenal, meant to keep us workers “in line” while they gorge themselves on profits. It’s about control, keeping us oppressed while they hoard the wealth we’ve earned with our sweat and blood.
Whenever I see these articles, I feel like it’s part of OpenAI’s marketing strategy to use the fear-based media to pump up the sense of how revolutionary their tech is
Yep, I think that’s what’s going on too.
The idea that a third party isn’t a real choice under FPTP is a tactic used by the ruling duopoly to keep people feeling powerless. If we dismiss third-party candidates, we’re only allowing the same two parties to hold a monopoly on political power.
Real choice comes from breaking free of this system and standing up for the alternatives that truly represent us.
Meh, that’s how they make their money. Clicks and views.
I agree it’d be nice if they were a bit more creative though.
Once again, the duopoly strikes, proving they’re terrified of giving working people a real choice at the ballot box.

I actually agree with a lot of what you’re saying. Automation can be a fantastic thing if it’s used to benefit everyone, not just the capitalist class. The issue is not opposing automation but ensuring that the gains are shared fairly, so no one is left behind.
The problem isn’t automation itself; it’s how it’s being used. Workers are being replaced without any thought for their well-being or fair compensation.
We need to fight for a system where automation frees us up for better lives, not just fatter profits for the few.
We should be fighting for a reasonable share of the fruits of our community. If your job is automated, you should get a share of the company profits for life and then happily leave for new and different work, not try to prevent the automation in the first place.
Yep, I want that for us too!
Yep!
Yep. They now actually make more than me and I’m a teaching assistant in an elementary school. lol Obivously cost of living plays a part, but still, it’s good to see.
