You can remove .midwest.social. They banned me because they said I’m a conservative and they don’t allow conservatives. I’m actually a vegan libertarian anarchist socialist, but meh…

And did ya notice that I use the same username on every one. So it’d be pretty hard to ban evade since I’m using the same freakin’ name. See my point?

A ban evader is someone who creates alternate accounts to sneak back into communities or instances they’ve been banned from, just to continue posting.

I don’t do that.

I’ve kept the same username across different instances, and I avoid posting in communities where I’ve been banned. I do this for transparency—so everyone knows I’m not posting in places that I’m banned from.

And yes, I’m aware of that thread. In fact, I use a screenshot of it as my profile banner. Notice that the new instance admins didn’t ban me because they saw that I wasn’t ban evading.

For example: If you banned me from this community, I wouldn’t post here again, no matter what instance I’m using. I’m not a ban evader.

Moving to a different instance after being banned, and avoiding the banned instance, is NOT ban evading.

Lemmy values diversity of thought, and the whole point of the Fediverse is that there’s no central authority that can just get rid of everyone they don’t like.

Different admins and different instances have different preferences and crowds. That’s what’s so awsome about the Fediverse and Lemmy!

Again, not unhinged. Those stories are direct parodies of the absurdity of Lemmy and how passionate people are.

Even the name of the series is “Tales from the Cryptic Lemmy.” Get it? Tales from the Crypt. The 1960’s outrageous comic and the cheesy 1980’s tv show. And I still write them and just added a story and am finishing up editing one now.

And I have never written any stories about any specific person on Lemmy. Inspired by the outrageous things said to me, yes, but that’s what creativity is. Yeah, I have never denied that. I was banned on one instance so I branched out to different instances. I decentralized, which lines up with the entire spirit of the Fediverse.

Getting banned, and then making a bunch of accounts on new instances saying “Despite the attempts to silence me, I’m still here” is evading the ban.

I disagree. Evading a ban is coming up with a DIFFERENT user name, then going into places I was banned from and continuing to post. I have never posted on .world since the ban (other than to respond to the thread you participated in and I worked with .world admin on that and made them and my admin aware of it).

By me keeping the same username across instances, I’m being transparent. It would be very easy to just pick a new name, and go back on .world and post. That would be ban evading, which I don’t do.

Me posting on another instance isn’t a ban evade by any definition. Admins agree.

“Ragebait” is posting something to piss people off on purpose. I don’t do that. I post whatever I find interesting, regardless of source, and I follow rules of the communities. And when I don’t, they remove.

I recently had a community say my source wasn’t good enough and gave me a list of sources that they thought were acceptable. So now I only post from those sources.

Not everyone hates Fox News and Brietbart. You do, and that’s perfectly fine. If you modded a community, I wouldn’t post from those sources. But those sources are not outlawed in the US or the earth or Lemmy. Even if you wish they were.

I’m not sorry that I don’t hate Trump as much as Lemmy does. But apparently a huge chunk of the US doesn’t either, since he won popular vote.

But I still didn’t vote for him nor do I think he will be a good president. And I don’t think that just because I post a news article that is favorable to him makes me a “nazi.”

I’m happy to answer any questions you have, but I need to point out that I haven’t “evaded” anything. I simply use different names on other instances.

As you have seen, and sometimes been a part of, there are groups of people that regularly try to get me banned from whatever instance I show up on. But luckily, admins are seeing how weird and witch-hunty that is and are not instance-banning. Cool heads have prevailed. For now.

But I still gotta diversify just in case of an instance-ban. As every socialist-anarchist should!

If you block me, that’s fine—it’s not an issue for me. But I don’t use these names to evade anything.

But of course, I hope you don’t block me before I have a chance to answer your question:

I’m not pro-Israel or pro-Gaza. I’m pro-US workers. Just like you supported Harris even though you didn’t agree with everything she did or said, I didn’t necessarily support everything that Fruit did or said.

But I do support her efforts and the efforts of the SWP when it comes to labor here in the US.

I wasn’t voting for who I thought would win, or against who I though would lose. I was voting for the person who best matched my labor union and socialist viewpoints. Rachele Fruit was that person.

To be honest, and I don’t care how upset Lemmy gets about it, my life doesn’t revolve around the Middle East or Russia/Ukraine. We have enough problems locally, and that’s where I focus my attention.

Those other issues are serious, of course, but they aren’t something I dwell on. People’s views on them don’t sway me one way or the other.

I support pro-labor union, pro-worker candidates every time, just as I always said I would.

I’m also anti-censorship, and yes, I saw that you jumped in and commented on the recent “Let’s ban Universal Monk” thread from a few days ago. I also read where you think I’m mentally ill. LMAO.

However, calling me mentally ill just because I post frequently and share content you don’t approve of does a disservice to people who are truly struggling with mental health. I worked as a teacher’s aide for several years before retiring a month ago, and I worked with children who were genuinely mentally unwell.

I respect your right to have your opinions, but you are very, very wrong to label me as mentally ill just because of what I post on Lemmy. :)

And for the record, MANY of the things I said about the Biden/Harris and Trump capitalist duopoly are now being repeated all the time in c/politics on .world. I was saying the same thing that’s fairly commonplace over there now, and the community thought I lived in Russia or was a bot. Remember?

A lot of the things people are saying there now would have gotten them banned before the election.

Ok, yep, that vid was disturbing!

Yep, I actually subscribe to their newspaper as well and receive a printed version every week.

The thing is, they’re such a small group that they don’t really have the resources to develop a stronger, more secure web presence. I’ve reached out to them about expanding their role online and even started a Mastodon account for them, but they just don’t seem interested in focusing on that.

That said, I still admire what they do with unions and how they stand against the mainstream.

As you know, I voted for their candidate, Rachele Fruit, for president.

I’m a big fan of the SWP and even moderate their community on some instances.

Tor is an absolute must in situations like this. No idea why people aren’t talking about it more.
