Slippery_Snake874to Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•An LLM would probably run the USA better1·3 months agoYeah that makes a lot more sense to me. I can definitely understand that the algorithm might be very large and complex for one person to understand, but it isn’t magic.
Slippery_Snake874to Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•An LLM would probably run the USA better2·3 months agoHmm. That is interesting, and I admit it does seem like the company that made it is also still researching their own model, but some parts of the article seem a bit dramatic (not sure if there is a better word).
Like when it says the model doesn’t “admit” to how it solved the math problem when asked. Of course it doesn’t, it is made for humans to interact with so it is not going to tell a human how a computer does math, it makes more sense for it to explain the “human” method.
Interesting stuff though, thanks for the article!

While I agree with most of your points, this is a strange thing to say. Sure, you and I don’t know why LLMs return the responses they do, but the people who actually make them definitely know how they work.

Why is that and does that mean they are not connected to the ground?1·3 months agoI hear people use earth in English sometimes, but I think “earth ground” is pretty common

This is not very surprising, I’ve seen quite a few spanish translations of websites/apps that made some strange errors. I even had one app that was unusable because of a bug in the spanish version, but the english version worked fine.
De nada
Solo he visto un par de comunidades en español. Así que probablemente aún no hay uno.

Nice! That’s definitely good to know
It may just be coincidence that this works for all of my sheets, but I always put the tag at the bottom right corner and it works every time.
Yeah. I’ve worked in a few places with drive throughs and that is exactly why they have you pull forward. Some places only tell people with large orders to do that though.
You’re a douchebag

Spotify forces you into this. I have a playlist with a little over 2 thousand songs, and every time I start the playlist it plays the same hundred or so songs because of their shuffle algorithm.
Slippery_Snake874to Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a website you've heard of (besides Lemmy) that you're sure nobody else here has?3·7 months agoTendré que explorarlo
Hubo un comunidad en español pero no he visto nada allá por casi un año.

Well in spanish, and I would assume a lot of other latin-based languages as well, IA does stand for artificial intelligence
