Hello. I fixed Spanish subtitles, but somehow I can’t see them fixed on the video yet.

In fact, it’s Spanish translation what I’m going to fix. But thanks anyway.

Where is the file/page for the subtitles? There are some mistakes in the text.

She forgot the 50% discount, so they cost $47.

I ain’t slave cause I’m free thinker.

Even if it’s 2 continents, people can’t call America to a country from one of those 2 continents, because they’ll exclude countries from Canada to Panama out of the equation (except for, obviously, United States), like if they don’t even exist or if they’re from another continent.

Finally, someone who agrees with me. I’ve been downvoted on Reddit for saying that once or twice.

The last school “shooting” in Spain happened some years ago. I think it was 5 or 6 years ago. And it wasn’t even a shooting, because he had a handcrafted crossbow. And the last shooting on the streets happened, I think, 10 years ago, in Marbella or Benidorm.

As clarification, in Spain you can own a gun. But first, if the gun is for hunting, like a rifle or a shotgun, you need a licence for hunting. Second, if it’s a gun for your own safety, you need to pass a test and an interview with a psychologist or psychiatrist. Three, once you passed those steps (both of them), you go to the police with that report (I think it’s not binding, but I’m not sure), and they’ll bring you a weapon, with the appropriate permit. But you only can have it inside your house. If you want to take it outside, you need a serious justification to give to the police for that, like your life is threatened or you’re a public person, for example. I think those are the correct steps.

Those rules apply to lemmy.ml, not to lemmy as a whole. For example, I’m in sopuli.xyz, and these are its rules.

Wait. Are Mexicans not from America? I didn’t know that Mexico was in Africa.

I read that article yesterday. Apparently, William Shatner couldn’t find an account from Twitter, who also tried to register on Mastodon, or something like that.

European Union finance ministers will take a step towards completing the bloc's banking union on Tuesday by agreeing on a long roadmap of when and how to agree on the still missing elements, a draft statement of the ministers showed.

The European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) launches today the public pilot phase of two social media platforms: EU Voice and EU Video.

The launch of the pilot phase of EU Voice and EU Video will help the EDPS to test the platforms in practice by collecting feedback from participating EUIs. The EDPS hopes that this first step will mark a continuity in the use of privacy-compliant social media platforms.

It’s a start, and I’m happy about that. Let’s see how it develops, and if more EU institutions join the fediverse in the future.

Data permanence has to be important, because of what people have already said about usefulness. But, well, I don’t know if this is possible, but I think old posts have to be blocked for new votes and comments. Maybe 6 months old or 1 year old.
