I’m using calckey.world and it was a bit crunchy at first but is working well now. The userbase at this point is small compared to the mastodon servers we’re used to seeing.

Early on, he was selling some of his Tesla stock, thus depressing its value, in order to fund twitter. So I don’t believe the theory that he bought it specifically to tank it. Though he may eventually claim “I meant to do that”.

I’m confused by this - there are various things Meta might want from the Fediverse (free content, more data, more people to serve ads to), but new users can’t be one of them. No one from Mastodon is likeky to migrate to Meta’s platform; the people who want to use Meta are already there.

I think you’re misunderstanding the meaning of the statement if you think safely regulations are written for union job security.

I don’t have the answers here, but it’s quite an assumption to say that EA is most efficient and following another method would be “sacrificing” potential. EA has some major glaring flaws.

While I’m with you partly (I don’t think rights should be removeable to majority rule), I’m not sure how much effective democracy we actually have, as I don’t see much of a straight line between the power of individuals to vote and the ability to gain policies that people actually want.

My trust in him dropped after being exposed to his activity on twitter. It seemed like he had a habit of trying to apply his knowledge to things he didn’t understand or where he was missing the point. I’m no longer on twitter and can’t remember specific examples, so it may have been more that that format did not work for him.

I found the procedurally-produced planets in No Man’s Sky to be stunningly beautiful. Then I would walk around on them and the similar-but-not-quite look of every part of the landscape would slowly drive me INSANE.

Combo attacks - I’m not coordinated to hit the buttons in order fast enough. I tried Black Desert when it was free and this was the dealbreaker for me, though it wasn’t the only thing that bugged me about the game.

Nope, absolutely disagree. People were being used as pawns and pushed towards the border by Belarus, where they were freezing and Poland would not let humanitarian aid or journalists reach them. Neither country’s government gave a shit about the value of human life.

When there were people freezing near the border, that was on Poland as well.

When the People’s Party started, I was following them for a while on twitter to see what they would become. It didn’t take long for it to become became obvious it was a grift. I thought they were committed to running Dore even though the number of people he would appeal to is severely limited.

When he says “when I was a child, any car that was five years old was a bucket of rust and halfway through the gate of the scrapyard” is he referring to British cars? Some of the American cars from my childhood were quite solid (and no, I’m not an American-made chauvinist, this line just struck me as odd).
