…Porter of Irvine and Garvey tied for second place at 15%. Lee, a longtime congressmember from Oakland, polled in a single digit despite having been in public office for more than three decades.

Lee’s single digit is 7%. Hard to say if 7% is close enough to 15% to be in the running after the undecideds decide, but it’s sure looking like a race with two Democrats and one Republican leads to a D vs. D general, while a race with three Democrats leaves that up in the air.

I think katie porter made a political mistake running for senate. I think she was just short of a lock in her district if she ran for it again but I don’t think she appeals statewide against another democrat. she was super effective in house oversight and we’re going to lose that and possibly her seat as well.

there are some (not here I don’t think) lamenting that porter isn’t going to be in the senate and think california would be making a mistake if (as it appears right now) adam schiff is going to get it.

I hope Porter gets the nod. I already sent my ballot in. If Schiff does…eh, not a bad choice either. I really don’t think Porter would have stayed in the House either way. Watching her in some of the committee meetings I can almost feel her soul being drained from her by the idiots on the other side.
