XMPP is used by many companies like Facebook , Google, Nintendo, GitHub, zoom, WhatsApp, Apple etc.

Facebook doesn’t use XMPP; they use a custom protocol built on top of MQTT. WhatsApp was using a binary equivalent to XMPP (keeping the same stanzas but removing the XML), but I’m not sure if they still are. Do you have a source stating that the other companies use XMPP?

Google uses it too or used it at least, Google Talk etc. Facebook used it for sure. And as you already stated, nobody knows for sure if they still are.

WhatsApp was build around XMPP, thats a fact. Before Facebook bought it. Just google it.

And it isn’t that hard to believe that a standard like XMPP is used by many companies. It’s like saying, “have you source that XYZ uses http/TLS or nginx”

      But here, look. https://xmpp.org/uses/social/

      Even Apple uses it.

As I said, “XMPP DeAd” nonsense is far from true.
