Little dictator energy
Just like his father
both using taxpayer money
It’s okay Filipinos can afford it, there’s nothing more beneficial for the country that money could be spent on that.
We all know that children are always just a copy of their parents.
This is genuinely my worst fear and I hate this statement.
Kind of forgot the /s.
No, I don’t think they forgot anything.
I was talking about myself.
Oh I didn’t notice you were the commenter before them.

does it spark outcry because he used a helicopter or because it was a coldplay concert?
Coldplay 100%. If it was Taytay it would be understandable
You gotta do what you gotta do to get past the Swifty Swarm
If it was Weezer I would get it
Its not like you haven’t been warned. But you still voted for him.
Oh, come on, they couldn’t possibly have known that he likes Coldplay.
Did it surprise you to learn that he does?
I’m always surprised when I learn that someone likes Coldplay.
The other guy was the Philippines’ version of Trump, so it tracks.
Spoiled brat president
Revolutionaries wait for my head on a silver plate…
This could almost be called imeldific.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos Jr has been criticised for using a presidential helicopter to attend a Coldplay concert north of the capital Manila, bypassing the area’s notorious traffic jams.
On social media, many accused the president of wasting taxpayers’ money, and pointed out that the public has to endure Metro Manila’s infamous traffic daily while commuting.
The Presidential Security Group said the Philippine Arena had “experienced an unprecedented influx of 40,000 individuals eagerly attending a concert, resulting in unforeseen traffic complications along the route”.
However, activist Renato Reyes described the decision as “a grave insult to millions of Filipino commuters”, adding that Metro Manila has been ranked as having the worst traffic in a recent international survey.
The late dictator Marcos Sr ruled the Philippines for two decades, and the family, known for their extravagance, were accused of plundering billions of dollars.
Others pointed out that Marcos Jr’s mode of travel contrasted with Coldplay’s wider efforts to make their shows as low-carbon as possible.
The original article contains 440 words, the summary contains 164 words. Saved 63%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
Absolutely nothing of this surprises me. The moment I knew that he was a candidate, I knew that this sort of thing would happen.
Smartest Coldplay fan.
His name is Marcos, what did they expect when they voted for him?
Might be a hot take, but it seems completely justified. Crawling traffic would pose a serious security threat. They also have a right to be upset about the traffic situation. 2 things can be true at the same time.
Just don’t go to the concert then
For context, we are having a transport crisis here in PHL. Aside from being the worst in the world for traffic, a major public transport system is about to be modernized and the cost is unbearable for the drivers.
Also the president has a record of being a “party boy”, going to lots of events and parties all over the world.
Going to the concert through a helicopter using public money is insensitive, and I’m being extremely generous.
Idk, our president uses the train most of the time
