In order to get a better grasp of Right Sector and Ukrainian Ultra Nationalism, [DylanBurnsTV] went to a Right Sector base to interview a fighter who has been fighting with their paramilitary group since 2014, when Russia invades Ukraine and sponsored separatists in eastern Ukraine.

This is the first part of a two part interview, with this part covering Yaroslav’s (Right Sector Fighter) background, his views on Russia, his politics, and even his views on the LGBT community. The next part we release will cover his time fighting the infamous Wagner group during the battle of Bakhmut.

EDIT: I see I should’ve given a bit more context in the beginning, judging by the downvotes. Overall the guy interviewed is a far cry from a Nazi and would probably fit right in with the conservatives here in Germany (CDU right wing), hold your horses this isn’t Russian propaganda but actually insightful.

    @barsoap @ukraine
    Thanks, despite the downvotes this seems informative and helpful to dispel Russian propaganda narratives. It is not useful to deny the existence of right wing Ukrainians but it is to show us how they actually think and what they actually want.

      I don’t blame them that much for the downvotes, a lot of people are weary or suspicious when Ukraine’s far right topic is addressed.
      But not because they want to deny its existence, but because that its existence has been weaponized by Russians as a justification for their invasion, genocide, tortures, rapes and overall warcrimes.
      And especially with how some western leftists (Hello Hasan) have treated the issue, or how it was used by tankies, fascists, vatniks and all sorts of such people to attack and diminish Russia’s action, it is pretty understandable their reaction.

      That being said, Dylan has been on the side of Ukraine since the very beginning, one of the few genuine left-leaning western folks, and this interview is very informative. Looking forward tot he second part.
