To be fair, those are the worst controllers ever paired with a game console. My hands are smaller than this, but they still hate the controls.

I’ve heard that a lot but I have fairly large hands myself and really like the feel of them. I even have a set of joycons paired to my pc for shortcuts while I work with a stylus. Just don’t get how people have so much trouble with them.

Edit: I guess my thumbs have a stutter, and there’s no sense in a free advert for a service I wish had better alternatives.

I like using the Switch, but I can’t use it for longer than an hour due to the Joy-Con causing cramps. I’m definitely going to replace them with a third party controller.

Agreed. The triggers are far too small. The buttons are not in intuitive places and they are not very responsive. I try and play for Zelda, but wish I could pair a PS5 controller.

You can! I use a Mayflash Magic-NS for this. I got a few and plugged them into a USB hub on my dock and my friends have been able to use their own comfortable controllers they use for their pc games on my switch. been a big hit for smash bros. ps4/ps5 controllers support gyro inputs fine too. you can even configure it to switch button orders/layouts and stuff for you so you don’t get xbox/nintendo xyab/yxba glyph/button conflicts, if you need. big fan of them overall. they work on other systems and controllers too, you can pair joycons to your PC with it (shows up as Xbox controller), they’re like universal “controller language” translators.

Get an 8bitdo pro 2 controller. They have Xbox and PS styles. Good price, durable, easily rechargeable. And it also works with PCs.

        Also: no drift.

I really hate how Nintendo doubled down on saying drift wasn’t a real problem with their original joycons. Two out of two original left joycons got severe drift after little use. To make matters worse, the tiny L/R buttons when they’re unattached stopped working, so no more Super Mario Party without some cumbersome button remapping.

I don’t think they’re problematic, but as a slightly above average height American male, I feel like my hands skew towards the smaller side of average which makes a difference. I have no problem with the joycons attached to the console, and I’m also a big fan of the pro controller. A friend of mine who is notably much taller bought me pro-like third party joycons for Christmas and they hurt my hands to use in contrast to the OG that don’t bother me at all.

I don’t know why people complain about the Joycons (other than stick drift). They’re literally the exact same configuration the DS and 3DS have had since 2005 and everyone loves those systems.

Check out some of the alternatives on Amazon or pick up the pistol grip attachment. I can’t hold the damn things either.

The big problem I have with joycons is my big, meaty hands. Makes it slightly harder for me to comfortably hold those small controllers when they’re not connected to the switch itself. I’ve totally been thinking of just going down to the nearby game shop one day and getting a controller, if I ever get more switch games to make the investment worthwhile.

This is why I got some grips when I don’t have it docked and a pro controller. If you ever do use it more, it’s definitely worth it.

First, I bought one of the Nintendo pro controllers day one with my Switch, and I love it. Secondly, I never liked playing with it mobile because it’s difficult to play with larger hands, but I just recently discovered a grip that the switch slides into giving you more meat to hold on to making it much easier for me to play on the go… was about $17 on amazon.

why would you expect something like that??

although all forms of prejudice and hatred are terrible, the online anti-fat hate just bugs so much.
it’s so common, accepted, and arbitrary
i mean, at least with racism there’s some kind of stupid “reasoning” behind it. some notion that “others” are a threat, and tribal nonsense.
but just hating on overweight people is so… pointless…
anyways, i expect the banning of r/fatpeoplehate and the like has sent some troglodytes over here.
but, if the instance doesn’t do something, theyll get defederated

The reasoning is that being fat is something you can do about whereas race is not.

I’m not advocating being an asshole but, as a former fat guy, I can say that a little shame can be a powerful motivator.

You think that’s bad, try being a balding fat 5’6" guy with a small penis. At least fat shaming gets called out if they’re fat shaming a woman, body shaming men is currently considered peak comedy by unfunny internet posters.

most bald jokes seem to be self effacing… otherwise i don’t think most people care that much.
and while being bald is generally considered unattractive, a lot of people find it extra hot so mathematically it all works out…
but yeah, body shaming men is extra popular.
short dudes get it the worst, i guess because of general aggressive primate stuff that goes on…
but im on the really tall side of things and ive had several shorter guys confide their jealousy to me.
i’ve seen the pain… the way they see their life as awesome if they were just really tall…
          honestly it’s got a looot of drawbacks…
can never find shoes that fit, shirts or pants that are the right length, bicycles are usually dangerous… (i’ve personally gone end-over-end)
bus, planes, restaurants… almost all seats suck
very rarely, it is like a super power, but usually it’s like a handicap…
and your penis probably isn’t that small… porn is crazy… (porn addicts are the number 1 customer of porn)
also, if you lose weight your dick gets bigger (:

but i’m against all getting down on the way someone is… i guess fat hate gets a pass because people consider it a choice… even though that’s a part of it, it’s not so much under most people’s control… and pretty complex

I wasn’t exactly talking about me, though I am 5’6", 135, full head of hair not even all gray yet, 6.5" in the pants (1.0 above natl avg) but never had any complaints because I learned how to use the thing. Actually because of how short I am due to the optical illusion they think it’s big lol, so like you said there are some boons. I was just highlighting the common things men are bodyshamed for, often with the bodyshaming getting open approval by those that would wish death upon you for saying anything that could be construed as negative about a corpulent woman.
