Call me close-minded and stuff… but why do we want or need VR? Sounds to me like yet another step in the wrong direction for people’s mental health and our fragmented societies. Shouldn’t we be encouraging people to build a better reality instead of building escapist technology?
AR I’m generally fine with, though. I like AR, it just hasn’t been convenient to use in any applications yet.
It’s just a fun toy like any other, but a lot of the major advancements in the apple release are more AR focused so that should bring you some comfort, part of why I’m excited is the increase of the convenience they’ve provided in this realm.
