      I’d rather they added some kind of feature to moderator tools to track people who frequently respond to users that have blocked them. The way Reddit handles blocks is really disruptive and often abused by spammers and others.

      Due to federated nature of Lemmy/Kbin, your block list will be available publicly (at least readable to random 3rd party servers) in order to implement this. Some people already not comfortable that their downvotes are not private, and may also freak out if their know their block list are not private as well. Not sure if mastodon also have issue or not though.

        As if everyone here isn’t already using alts to upvote themselves and downvote others despite the fact that everyone can see you doing it.

        It doesn’t matter if some people are uncomfortable. The rest of us are uncomfortable at the fact that blocking as it is now only helps enemies and doesn’t hurt them.
