I used to stream pirate films from a kodi addon that would just search movies in all the pirate streaming websites for me, it was quite convinient since I could avoid js and ads but I don’t want kodi installed in all my machines, I’d like something like this on my webserver.

I tried kodi in headless mode in a container but it uses way too much cpu for my poor VPS.

The feature i manly need is password protected access and multiple accounts access.

Is there any valid alternative?

I also wonder wether I’m risking to be banned by the VPS provider for this kind of use, It’s for private usage and not public so it’s not a big deal but I guess they could monitor internet traffic even if I doubt :/ (the vps is in UK and I’m also in UK)

    If your VPS can’t really handle the load with Kodi in headless mode, I don’t see any other solution that would be lighter CPU-wise.

    If you plan on running that kind of stuff on the VPS, I’d suggest you run a VPN client conencted a paid VPN provider on the VPS for that kind of traffic to hide it from the provider.
