I think I would pick Japanese. There’s just so much variety I find and I already eat mostly Asian food as it is.
Italian. It’s all about the pasta
French. My life would indubitably be shorter from all the cheese and wine and butter, but I’d go out on a high note.
Italian would be similar, but more tomatoes, pizza, and pasta.
I think the carbs alone would be just too much for me. I do love Italian though.
Yep japanese is a good shout. It’s not my favourite but it’s probably best pick if its the only thing you can eat.
It’s that or something stupidly broad like ‘Mediterranean’ lol.
Probably the best choice for health.
Indian, for sure. Gimme all the paratha and daal!
As a Russian living in France… Answer is “Indian”
Either American or Mexican.
American because I really, really like eggs and hashbrowns and don’t want to lose them. And my comfort foods are, unsurprisingly, all American so I’d want to maintain access to those. I like other foods, but comfort foods are set in childhood, so…
Or I would choose Mexican because the ingredients are largely native to the area. Grocery prices are kinda stupid, so local ingredients help keep the cost down.
I’d maybe cheat and say UK, seeing as they appropriated so many other cultures’ foods. Although I could probably live on tikka massala alone.
dammit! i was gonna say “modern australian”… its basically asian fusion crossed with bistro but the dessert is always pavlova

There’s a thing that said that things like enchilladas (the ones open at both ends) and pigs in blankets are actually sushi. The Cube Rule, things are defined by how many sides have carbohydrates. Pizza is a type of toast, Victoria sponge cake is a type of sandwich, a hot dog is a type of taco, etc.
Hmm, I’ll allow it, lol
Korean. Enough spices in their food for most people with huge variety in taste
Being Korean, this would be my 2nd choice, but it was close to being #1
Mexican, I think. I know that I’ve been raised on Americanized, white people Mexican food, but I do try to push myself and find more authentic places where I can. I love the flavors and I know there’s a lot more for me to explore.
All I need to survive are tacos.
I mean, fr.
i would most likely choose italian, mainly because of pizza and pasta. depending on if it counts, alternatively i would choose german because we stole a lot of dishes from all over the globe.
Italian
Scottish (McDonalds)
Just had this discussion. We settled on Thai.
South Indian. So much flavour and a near endless amount of plant based (or easily converted) dishes.
I’ll be biased as shit and say Egyptian. We have too many delicious stuff that the rest of the world barely touches.
I’m curious to hear- can you give some examples?
So first there’s one of my personal faves, molokhiya soup (or just molokhiya). We shred molokhiya leaves, heat them in broth, add fried garlic and voila. Literally the best.
There’s also koshari, which is also the best.
Egyptian cooking is pretty unique in general so there are tons of examples of Egyptian that’s not really popular anywhere else, but the big ones are these two and mahshi.
