I like it, but the orientation (or lack thereof) makes me uneasy.
West on top is as much of an orientation (occidentation?) as north on top.
You know what I mean.
You need to learn the location of Istanbul, its an important city/landmark. When you have that down you dont struggle with the orientation :)
If it is to be considered a map, it needs a compass rose, period. I know where Constantinople, Trabzon, Izmir and Ankara are (roughly) located. That is not the issue.

The new spelling & pronunciation of Türkiye always makes me think of the way the Beach Boys pronounce “Californ-I-A” in Surfin’ U.S.A.
it’s a stupid thing that the dictator did because someone probably told him a joke about Turkey/turkey.
I’m pretty sure he didn’t introduce anything similar to stop us calling Egypt “Corn”, or similar issues with India.
- Mısır - Corn - Egypt
- Hindi - Turkey;
- India - Hindistan
EDIT : Yes, those are closer to the autonyms , but the unfavorable puns continue
