I mean technically the law allows you to shoot and kill people coming into your home if you fear for your life. They would have been justified in shooting these criminals breaking into their home.

Yes, but since we brilliantly decided we were good with militarizing the police, expect for them to respond with a battalion’s worth of goons that will absolutely mow down anything that moves without question. This is America.

TL;DW: Only if the cops shoot at you first.

Which is correct - even in states with insane self defense laws, you’re not allowed to kill someone just for breaking into your house.

That’s the TL;DW of the second video.

The TL;DW of the first is that the ICE goons can walk into the house without a warrant.

ICE goons can walk into the house without a warrant.

Americans will be on the path to reclaiming their country when the goons start to fear doing so.

            Land of the free.

Police can walk into your house without a warrant.

Police can sieze any property without a warrant (civil forfeiture)

Police can shoot your dog, or yourself, if they “feel threatened”.

If, despite all they can do, the do something they can’t, they get a few weeks of paid vacation.

            Land of the free.

Do we know these are ICE? Looks like the only indication is their gear saying “POLICE.” Could be any police or anybody really?

I’ve seen a lot of them putting that on their jackets. They are trying to muddy the waters on purpose.

Homie, it’s a feature of the police, not a bug. There’s a saying: “the purpose of a system is what it does.” This is why calls for ‘reform’ are futile. Only broken systems need repairing. This one is functioning as it was always intended to.

I’ve got a device that quickly solves these problems. Guaranteed that upon its use, the invader’s behavior would be significantly modified from that point forward. In fact, many people in the US own this kind of device as well, and the right to operate these devices is enshrined in the constitution for this exact scenario! Maybe It’s time for people to start exercising this right.

It’s hard to say exactly what would have happened, but there absolutely would have been several effects. A lot of the bravado you see from these pigs is because they don’t really fear any kind of consequence. Imagine the resources necessary to do what they are doing now, but for them to still feel safe in an atmosphere where armed resistance is likely.

Disagree. If one ICE gets shot, it’s cassis belli to be even more brutal. And the resistance loses the moral high ground. And the fence-sitters.

And it isn’t as if Alex shooting one or two would have saved him from the eight others.

              Nothing gained, only lost.

Americans are, for the most part, brainwashed out of any sort of rebellious thought. Therefore, they won’t defend themselves, they will film, screetch and seethe.

Filming is somewhat effective at this stage. People need to know what is actually happening, as the country is really big. When the retaliatory violence starts, it will likely be after one of these videos shows a massacre.
