We’re not trying to go green or “Woke”. No! We’re making ’Merca energy independent! We’ll stop importing oil from the tourist countries! And be energy self sufficient!

Exactly. I don’t even feel like “the right” is somehow especially opposed to renewables. It’s a straw man. Just because someone works at a coal mine and doesn’t want to lose their job or drives a big truck, it still doesn’t mean they dont want clean energy or clean air to breathe. Perhaps they just don’t want to be accociated with the kind of people build their entire idenity around it.
