How about that, the Republican House “investigations” into Biden “corruption” are completely farcical and unproductive, and the DOJ is in the background finding real corruption and charging it.

It’s almost like the civil servants in the US government are working productively and serving the interests of our country and the Republicans are doing nothing useful.

Doesn’t obstruction count as useful if you are corrupt?

No he was tried in the senate a few years back for taking bribes. The guy who bribed him went to jail for other bribes and Menendez walked.

Jesus Christ! So he got caught taking bribes, got let off, and then thought, “I should probably take some more bribes.”

A spokesman for Hana said, “We are still reviewing the charges but based upon our initial review, they have absolutely no merit.”

Not the best wording to use when claiming you’re not corrupt. Generally you don’t need to review the specifics of corruption charges to know they don’t have merit if you’re not corrupt.

Nah, Menendez is actually corrupt, this isn’t the first time he’s been in trouble for this. New Jersey politicians in particular seem to be just shamelessly corrupt, regardless of party affiliation.

Glad this happening but isn’t Clarence Thomas guilty of the same thing? When do wr go after him. When does the DOJ charge him.

It’s important to remember there are checks and balances in the government. So we’ll go after him when his checks stop cashing and his balance goes negative.

You will definitely never see me defend Clarence Thomas, I just needed to point out that this isn’t a partisan thing in this one specific instance. Democrats are frequently bad politicians too, it’s just not a solid requirement like it is for the GOP.

I mean the fact that something is being done about a corrupt politician is almost certainly due to him being a Democrat, but the issue isn’t that he’s being charged, it’s that the corrupt Republicans aren’t.

It’s coming out of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. (So, part of the Biden DoJ). I don’t think the Republicans have much to do with this.

This is his second corruption charge in a decade. Probably time to clean house in New Jersey.

His only mistake was taking foreign money from unapproved foreign country.

KSA or UAE do the same and nobody ever gets punished or any domestic slave master.
