No idea, but I wonder if the will stick with the horrible CGI for the movie as well ;)

I think the animation fan community needs to give studios a bit more leeway in regards to CGI, if it keeps the costs down (and thus in turn enable more less mainstream Anime to be made). But Knights of Sidonia took it a bit too far. Still a good Anime overall though.
