meh, the developers should’ve gone through and actually cancelled their release on stadia imo

google being what it is aside, kind of weird of them to go with them considering what had happened…

The way I see it is they got paid by Google and Google doesn’t actually get any benefit, because Stadia has already failed. If they don’t release, they break the contract, Google saves money and the devs don’t get paid. If they release, they get paid, Google loses money, and Stadia continues to be irrelevant.

stadia is cool but I don’t think it has anything to compete with luna(twitch) or xbox. Both of those have huge ecosystems and large existing communities that would actually be helped by the technology while stadia just doesn’t. Twitch even has their own game store and client so the games may not even be cloud exclusive. If/when stadia shuts down a lot of people will lose their games unless they have some special plan and it will further fuck up googles reputation.

In my opinion Stadia is cool in concept however execution is absolutely terrible.

yeah same, and thats why I think luna and xbox’s thing will take off. Google didn’t have the leverage that luna and xbox have, which is existing gaming communities and game libraries that aren’t completely online.
