I picked one up and been pretty happy with it overall. For the most part it just works, and game selection is pretty good at this point. You can also plug it into HDMI output via USBC and play it with a controller on the TV. My PS4 controller just worked out of the box with it.
Try emulating switch games with yuzu I hear it works great.

Is it really worth it?
Depends on you, but it is hard to get a cheaper game capable and portable Linux PC right now.
